A 19th century boxed set of Victorian silver plated fish knives and forks with matching servers.
The set of twelve knives and forks have engraved decoration of differing herbs and the servers are decorated to match.
The backs of all the cutlery are stamped ‘JR & S’ for John Round & Son of Sheffield and an ‘A’ for quality silver plate.
The interior of the case is lined with purple velvet and silk and fitted to hold the 26 pieces in their allotted slots.
The compartment for the knives hinges open for access to the forks and the box is made from American walnut with box wood edges and ebony inlay.
The cutlery is in very good useable condition, the box is in very good quality and in good order. (Circa 1880)
