Object Description
A small sized set of brass Walkers Patent Hooks.
The concertina design of these hooks allow them to fold flat for travel or to extend to fit the size of the available hanging space, making them very practical. This set is made of solid brass whilst brass wrapped around steel was also available.
Some of the hooks have been bent to the side but this doesn’t effect their use. The smaller sets, such as these, are harder to find than the larger ones. The hooks are stamped Walker’s Patent 1864. Late 19th Century.
The size given is a medium size as shown in the first photograph. Fully stretched, the hooks extend to a width of 17 inches (43 cm).
