Western Asiatic Gold Spherical Pendant

Object Description

A finely crafted Western Asiatic gold pendant which displays a smoothened, hollow, spherical body made from a gold sheet. To the top of the pendant sits an applied loop for suspension; this loop has been slightly bent in antiquity, and is consistent with the age of this item.

Date: Circa 1st Millennium BC

Object History

From an Ex Japanese gentleman’s (now deceased) private collection, formed 1970s-2010s.

Object Condition

Fine condition with slight bend to suspension loop as well as minor surface scratches, all consistent with the age of the piece.
