Object Description
A fine Western Asiatic gold pendant from the ancient region of Bactria. The pendant is comprised of a triangular shaped gold sheet which tapers towards the top leading to the fish hook backing which has be bent and sealed in antiquity to form a loop for suspension. Three finely modelled gold domed granules are stacked in a vertical row at the top of the triangle and another five are arranged horizontally at the base. The back is flat and unadorned.
