Watercolour. Signed and dated 1887.

Object History

Previously with the Bourne Gallery, Reigate.
Born in Scotland and the brother of the artist James Mulcaster Carrick, he moved south and exhibited in London where his work was admired by John Ruskin at the Royal Academy in1858. His paintings can be Pre-Raphaelite in manner as here. He should not be confused with the Glasgow artist of the same name.

Object Condition

Excellent. Recently reframed. See photo.
