A mid 19th century William IV mahogany four drawer writing table.
The table has a black hide writing surface and stands on four turned mahogany legs with Cope & Collinson patent gilt brass casters.
The four drawers are mahogany lined and have a deceptive front in that the hand grip pull is under the front edge of the drawer.
The whole drawer and rail comes forward as one and the brass locks are stamped ‘C.C’ for Cope & Collinson.
The writing table is in very good condition with a replaced tooled leather hide writing surface. One drawer has a working key.
