William IV Rosewood Games Table
An early 19th century William IV rosewood turn over top games table.
The table top is rosewood veneered with broad rosewood cross banding and revolves to open.
The inside of the table has a chess/draughts board, a backgammon board and a cribbage board all made from bird’s eye maple, rosewood, mahogany and box wood.
When the top revolves it reveals a storage compartment for games.
The table has an oblong platform base with concave sides and is raised on flat bun feet.
The octagonal stem tapers slightly and has a turned rosette decoration at the base.
The table is in good condition.
