The Chelsea Antiques Fair

Newly refurbished, the Chelsea Old Town Hall is now magnificent, and can again host the Fair!

Established in 1950, Chelsea has been the highlight of the social season, alongside the Chelsea Flower Show. It has been the springboard for many major dealers who have gone on to Grosvenor House, Maastricht and more recently, Masterpiece Fairs – they are now leading lights in the antiques world, such as Robert Young, and Wakelin & Linfield.

As the most economic of the major London Fairs, Chelsea draws to London many provincial dealers who could otherwise not afford the costs of a London event. Thus prices are always reasonable!

Vetting is the prime factor in the maintenance of fine quality, authenticity and condition of all exhibits, which also have to bear fully descriptive price labels. Exhibitors too are vetted for their knowledge, selective stock and integrity.

The magnificent refurbished main Hall in the Old Town Hall adds grandeur, while its size contributes to the intimate and relaxed friendly atmosphere – where buyers and sellers of stylish furnishings and embellishments can enjoy discussing the fine objects on show – many of which will be going to admiring new owners in London, the provinces and indeed overseas.
