Antique Maple Pedestal Desk

Object Description

Nineteenth century antique pedestal desk. This pedestal desk is of exceptional quality with mahogany lined drawers, the show wood is a very fine cut of burr maple, the handles are turned and shaped in the manner of Gillow and the construction is second to none. The colour is much better than it appears in the photos, the phone camera let us down on this cloudy day. This desk is unusually high for the period and gives more knee room than usual.
