Object Description
Victorian diamond cluster earrings. A matching pair of earrings, each set centrally with a cushion shape old mine diamond in an open back claw setting, the two with a combined weight of 1.60 carats, encircled by eight cushion shape old mine diamonds in open back cutdown settings, sixteen in total with a combined weight of 4.00 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 5.60 carats, to an openwork coronet cluster design with circular backholing and fitted with a secure shepherd’s hook, approximately 3.1cm in length to top of hook. Tested yellow gold and silver settings, English, circa 1890.
