15TH Century, Carved Oak Angel Corbels, England, Circa 1450 - 1500

Object Description

Carved with the bust of an angel and elaborate feathered wings, robes and holding a shield to their breasts.

These small figures probably decorated a church roof on wall plate or tie-beam.
