Object Description
Circa late 1600s, impressive Dutch oak armoire or cabinet. The stepped cornice with rosewood and ebony inlay, ebony panels and three carved figureheads. Two impressive panelled doors with central raised ebonised panels and 3 integral, deeply carved fluted pilasters (two on the right), one containing a hidden lock. The doors and panelled sides are all sitting on a stepped base with a single long shaped front drawer over an ogee base with four large ebonised bun feet.
