Object Description

A stunning pre-owned 18k yellow gold Victorian opal & diamond bangle typical of the design prevalent in the1880-1900 period.

The bangle comprises nine claw set opals with an estimated range of between 2cts and 0.33cts, stones, all of good matching colour. Also set with 18 est. 0.01ct rose cut diamonds displayed in this traditional Victorian setting. This antique bangle displays a ‘knife edge’ or tapered design, again very typical of the era. There is a safety chain fitted, the fastener also closing with a firm ‘click’.

There are superficial scratches to the surface of the gold, with two discreet identification marks also present, on the inside of the bangle but these are very minor and do not impair the appearance of the piece. There is some wear to the claws, consistent to an antique item of jewelry over 100 years’ old, with all the opals being firmly intact.
