A rare and lovely Italian Mezzaro,delle vacchette (with cows) made in Genoa, c. 1830, cotton, block-printed. Some repairs. Mezzari were made in Italy in the Indienne tradition, often in the form of Palampores, as is this one. Note the exuberant floral and bird border.
