Object Description
An 18th century Georgian Chippendale walnut concertina action turn over top card Table.
The table has a shaped top and when opened reveals an old replacement baize covered playing surface and the square corners are the Guinea wells.
The top has a finely carved edge of flowers and ribbons over a deep cross grain veneered frame.
The table has four bold cabriole legs that have carved shells and scrolling acanthus leaves to the knee and outstanding high claw and ball feet.
The back legs pull apart to allow the folding ‘concertina’ like frame to open and has a sliding lock board to keep the fame in place to support the top.
This excellent table is in very good condition. (Circa 1760)
