Object Description
An early 18th century George I country made oak cased Grandfather clock.
The clock has a brass and silverised dial that has a calendar aperture and are signed R Sherratt Titley.
Ralph Sherratt is referenced as being a clock maker (between 1720-1730) from Titley, a small village near Kington Hereford.
The solid oak case has a long slim door, bracket feet and with a dental cornice to the hood.
The works are an eight day movement that strike the hour on a bell and have lead weights.
The clock is in full working order and in good condition with some historic marks from over 300 years of use. (Circa 1730)
