18th century Welsh oak dresser.

Object Description

An 18th century Welsh oak dresser and shelves. The rack , with moulded cornice and original patinated pine backboards , having three graduated shelves. The base with three drawers above a cockbeaded Cupid’s bow shaped frieze with four turned front legs on to a potboard, all standing on shaped bracket feet front and sides. Could also be used as a serving base (see photo)which is 72 ins wide, 16.5 deep and 34 tall. Welsh Circa 1760.

Object History

From a farmhouse near Dinas Mawddwy on the Montgomeryshire/ Merionethshire borders ( see photo in situ).

Object Condition

Fine original colour and patina and in excellent condition throughout.
