Object Description
A late 19th century Victorian polished brass standard lamp.
The lamp is converted from an oil lamp with a new lamp holder and has been re-wired.
The lamp has a square stepped base with impressive large paw feet and a Corinthian column that has acanthus and volute cast brass decoration at the top.
The brass tube lamp holder can be raised and lowered and is locked in place by a screw turn ring.
The lamp is in very good condition and in full working order having recently been re-wired and tested.
The lamp can be extended in height by approximately 15-18cm. (Circa 1880)
