A fine quality and large scale Chinese export ‘canton famille rose’ or ‘rose medallion’ or ‘rose mandarin’ porcelain gilt and polychrome decorated bowl,

Canton region, circa 1840-1860.

In the ‘Rose Medallion’ pattern, the exterior and interior typically enamelled and gilt with panels of court figures within foliate border.

Rare impressive scale, fine antique condition with minor rubbing to decoration, minor chip to the rim and hairline to the body.
