The moulded rectangular top features a newly fitted tooled black leather writing surface with gilt border, above an arrangement of nine drawers with original brass handles and escutcheons. Raised on turned and fluted tapering legs with brass caps and castors, this desk is both practical and refined, exemplifying 19th-century French craftsmanship.
