A Very Good Quality Early 19th Century Mahogany, Regency Period, Dwarf Open Bookcase, Having Well Figured Rectangular Top Over One Frieze Drawer With Original Brass Lions Mask Handles And Two Adjustable Shelves, Flanked By Ebonised, Reeded Stiles, Raised On Later Replacement Turned Feet With Carved Decoration.

An elegant, practical bookcase which is of a fabulously useful size for use in a whole host of different places around the home. It has real elegance and class to its form, as well as the obvious function which an item like this provides.

It’s a great size and offers a huge amount of storage and versatility whilst at the same time being a particularly elegant addition to a room.

It is constructed from good quality mahogany timbers and the has ebonised decoration for contrast and effect. Of course it also has the frieze drawer and adjustable shelves, the purpose of both being to provide even further practical function.

Perfect for a downstairs hallway, office, study, dining room, living room, bedroom or even on a landing, it can be used for it’s original purpose of the storage of books, or even for displaying items which one would like on view around the house.

As with all items which we offer for sale it has been attended to in our workshops by our well trained, traditional specialist antique furniture restorers, where it has received a natural wax polish ensuring that it is ready for immediate placement in the home or office.
