(Nests of coffee tables were made throughout the 19th century
and beyond and by far the most common antique nests that are
found nowadays are late 19th/early 20th century examples. The
examples made earlier in the 19th century versions are rarer,
and very often normally of superior quality, therefore making them
much more sought after. These are a very good quality example
incorporating well figured mahogany that has retained a good colour.
The versatility which is offered with the variation in sizes is of course
extremely useful and this tables are incredibly functional)
