A unique and evocative oil on canvas depicting a prize Maremmana Tuscan bull overseeing the herd and the drover in a lowland landscape with mountains in the background. Signed Carel Quaedvlieg (1823-1874). The painting is dated 1873 which makes this one of the artists last works. Formerly in the collection of Lord David Kennedy – as marked on stretcher. Italy.
