A painting of a painting on this finely painted porcelain plaque after ‘A portrait of a man in Oriental garment’ (1635) by the Old Master painter, Rembrandt. Widely collected in the 19th century, the best coming from Germany, this particular plaque is signed ‘K. Schubert’.
