A most unusual Anglo-Indian Burmese teak jardiniere, font or wine cooler.

Circa 1860

External width of bowl: 18 inch (46 cm)
Width at foot: 23.5 inch (60 cm) Bowl internal height: 5.5” (14cm) diameter: 13.75” (35cm)

Object History

Bearing similarities to a mahogany example from the Art Institute of Chicago, described as An exceptional George II Carved Mahogany Jardiniere, circa 1755.
