Object Description
A fine 19th century gilt-metal and crystal cut chandelier “lustre a` lacets”, mounted with six scrolling candle branches. The chandelier is of pear-shaped form hung with facetted drops, glass flowers and beads. The beads are hung to form a trellis pattern and along the arms a wavy interlaced pattern. The whole surmounted by a coronet and terminating with a finial crystal cut ball.
Chandeliers similarly designed were already fashionable in the 18th century. Can be wired for electricity on request.
