Swedish Circa 1870.

A very decorative sofa that will work in both a contemporary and a traditional setting.
After seeing the excavations at Pompeii, Herculaneum and collections of Roman art and antiquities during his journey to Italy in 1783-4, Gustaf III was inspired towards a purer and more severe form of Neoclassicism resulting in designs like this sofa.
