A great practical mid 19th century victorian pedestal desk, of good size, with the added elegance of an inverted breakfront top, this item also boasts beautiful figuring to the walnut veneers and its original turned wooden knobs.
There is a huge variety of georgian and victorian pedestal desks available on the market today and they vary wildly in terms of shape, size, quality and design. This is pretty near the top bracket in terms of its features, its size, the veneers which have been used and the fact it is such good quality, which means it has clearly been produced in one of the top mid 19th century workshops.
As with all items which we offer for sale this 19th century desk has been attended to in our workshops, by our highly skilled, trained antique furniture restorers and received a traditional wax polish finish to ensure that it is absolutely ready to be placed straight into a home, or office environment.
