Object Description
A fireback bearing the arms of the City of Bristol. This rare 17th century civic fireback, with extension panels, has the date 1634, this being of interest as another example illustrated in British Cast Iron Firebacks is dated 1633 – this fireback however has extension panels intitled T H relating to the probable owner.
