Object Description
A fine example of an early 18th century lead cistern dated 1714 and initialled S.S.F. Having complex raised partner moulding repeated as a decorative motif across the front and side returns. This moulding in turn surrounds decorative cartouches, the front two encompassing three putto within a highly decorative scheme, the side two being more floral in nature. Other decorative elements include bird and fleur-de-lis motif’s.
