Object Description

The sumptuous and large country house three-seater sofa in the typical roomy early twentieth century style, with shaped and segmented back and arms, being coil sprung and horsehair stuffed, on front squat half-bun feet with brass castors, fully reupholstered in Liberty of London, Morris & Co ‘Honeysuckle’ fabric with single piping, the whole surviving from late Edwardian England.

Object Condition

The condition of the sofa is fantastic, having been fully reupholstered. All of the original horsehair and innards to the upholstery has been retained. The frame is of good quality and remains sturdy and strong having been tightened. It proves wonderfully comfortable and very roomy and the castors appear to be original.
