Object Description
A Charles I silver Saucer Dish with scrolled handles; fully marked for London 1641, the maker William Maddox; this is an important piece; the decoration is quite usual for this period, but the shape is distinctly that of a saucer rather than the more common sweetmeat dishes and wine tasters of this period. The piece is of good gauge and weighs 3 ozs approx; it measures 2.5 cms high, and 12.3 cms in diameter.
