Object Description
A fabulous 17th century chest of drawers, having super colour and patination.
The four heavily molded drawers with chestnut veneers and decorative stringing and later brass knobs. Either side of the drawers are applied duel split turnings with single heavy moldings separating the drawers and the turnings.
The chest has double paneled sides and retains its original back boards. The drawers linings and pans are original with the linings constructed from oak, elm band walnut with the pans being constructed from pine. The top of the chest has an old repair to one of the top planks and some old wood worm damage , but overall the chest of drawers is in good condition.
