Object Description

From our collection of Japanese metalwork from the late 19th Century, this fascinating pair of Bronze and multi-metal vases using the “mitsuro hikime” (lost-wax) casting technique to depict Reeds and long grasses. Amongst the vegetation are butterflies and other insects highlighted with various precious multi-metal patination.
