Object Description
From our collection of Japanese Meiji-era metalwork of the Meiji-era, (1868-1912) this fine pair of “Komai-style” miniature Soldier vases and covers with Silver and Gold damascene inlaid decoration.
On one side a rurual scecene and to the reverse, a display of Peonies.
The two panels are set on an inlaid Silver ground of complex geometric patterns and the neck is decorated with a “fruiting vines” design.
