A Fine Gilt-Bronze Cut-Glass Tent and Bag Chandelier With Finely Cast Entwined Dolphins.
French, Circa 1900.
This fine chandelier has a gilt-bronze acanthus corona above a foliate band, from which is suspended chains of graduated octagonal flatback beads to an elaborate gilt-bronze gallery, finely cast with fronded acanthus and entwined dolphins. Plain icicle drops are suspended from the edge of the gallery while below is a basket of further graduated octagonal flatbacks above a gilt-bronze foliate cast terminal.
