Object Description

From our collection of Japanese, late 19th Century metalware, this charming Silver patinated Bronze Okimono of a red-crowned crane. The piece also has a detachable back plate on the back of the bird so as to serve as an incense burner or Koro. Multi-metal patination to the eyes, tail feathers and head, the bird is attached to a lacquered wood base.

Offered in very good condition as shown in the photographs and bearing the mark Konichika to the underside.
