Object Description
A Large and Impressive Baroque Style Carved Giltwood Mirror.
The rectangular frame elaborately carved with acanthus leaves and scrolls. The inner frame caved with channelled ribbon-work. The bevelled glass plate is a replacement.
The curving naturalistic forms and heavy scrolling of the leaves is characteristic of the Roman Baroque of the late 1660s and 1670s.
