Object Description

A fine large Antique silver communion cup in superb condition made for the First Relief Church Paisley in Glasgow 1836 by John McKay – it is fully marked on the side and also the foot which is unusual and holds over 600 ml- on the other side it is engraved – Drink abundantly o beloved for my blood is drink indeed- a relief church was a Scottish Presbyterian denomination founded in 1761. Height 21 cm, Width 11.75, Weight 16.65 troy oz.
