Object Description
A pair of well proportioned 19th century Chinese blue and white Phoenix-tail vases with finely painted mirrored decoration of a sage and a lady on a speckled horse. The lady carries a bBiwa and wears a headdress which suggests that she may be a depiction of the goddess Guanyin. She is followed by female attendants and a standard bearer.
Kangxi (Kang Hsi) Mark to the underside.
