From our collection of Japanese, 19th Century metalwork, this beautiful Bronze depiction of Buddha.
Known as Dhyana Mudra or Samadhi Mudra, the Meditation Buddha represents quiet contemplation and is a significant image within Buddhism as it embodies spiritual reflection, mindfulness and inner peace.
The figures hands are together in the Dhyana Mudra position which symbolises higher energy. He sits on a detachable Lotus throne.
