Object Description
From our collection of masterful Meiji metalwork, this Iron box decorated in Gold, Silver, Bronze and Copper and with scenes of macaques under a persimmon tree. The creatures are playing a traditional neck-wrestling game.
The sides of the box are decorated with scenes of a gorge with large Peony blossoms.
