Stamped to the reverse of the gilt-bronze mounts ‘HB’.
The porcelain plaques with underglaze interlaced Sèvres marks to reverse.
This exceptional gueridon has a circular top inset with a finely painted Sèvres-style porcelain plaque depicting putti at play within an engraved gilt-bronze border. The border is inset with oval Sèvres-style porcelain plaques depicting portraits of female courtiers of Louis XVI and the arms of Louis XVI.
