A Fine and Unusual Louis XVI Style Gilt-Bronze and Cut Crystal Tent and Frame Chandelier with Blue Enamelled Galleries.
French, Circa 1900.
The corona of the chandelier is in the form of a blue enamelled band with gilt-bronze swags and foliate motifs from which is suspended a crystal tent, and gilt-bronze chains of trailing husks which support a central blue enamelled gallery with applied foliate meander.
The gallery is affixed with six finely cast ribbon tied cornucopia issuing flowers and supporting candles, while a deep cut crystal basket terminating in a gilt-bronze finial is suspended below.
