Object Description
A mid 19th Century Mahogany Partners Desk, the rectangular top with inset green leather gilt tooled writing surface within a cross banded and carved edge, the frieze with an arrangement of one wide drawer flanked by two short drawers with matching opposing and false drawers to the sides, the pedestals with three graduated drawers to one side and cupboards to the reverse, triple panelled ends with a gadrooned moulding above the plinth base. All the drawers have a pea and bean moulded cockbeading to protect the edges. This example is superb quality.
