The renowned interior decorator and furniture maker Maison Jansen dominated the world of interior design throughout the twentieth century. Marking a new era in furniture design, the company’s last CEO launched the ‘JANSEN Collections’ in 1972. With some items designed in collaboration with Alain Delon, the Jansen furniture is characterised by chrome, brass, and copper accents. The firm closed the doors of their famous 9 rue Royale address in Paris in 1989.
