Object Description

A glorious pair of George II Antique Sterling Silver Cast Candlesticks having stepped shaped bases with a sunken well, decorated with reeding. The baluster faceted stems have spool shaped sockets and are also decorated with reeded bands. Height 7”, 17.78 cm, base 4.33 “, 11cm. Weight 899.5 grams 28.92 troy oz. These candlesticks are in very good condition and of an excellent weight and patina. Each stick is hallmarked underneath in the four corners, with a full set of English hallmarks and stamped on the sconces with the lion passant. One base has the scratch weight 15.17. Reflections in the photograph may detract from the true representation of this item.
