Circa 1900, Continental, each modelled with spread wings holding a crested shield, raised on bevelled plinth, 39cm wide, 14.5cm deep, 88cm high Jean-Baptiste Auguste Clésinger (French), 1814 -1883: A bronze group entitled ‘Jeunesse de Bacchus’ the young Bacchic putto seated on a striding jaguar, the rectangular base inscribed, signed and dated JEUNESSE DE BACCHUS, J CLESINGER. Rome. 1869 with Bronze Artistique de Paris pastille mark, brown patina, 44.2cm high
