The firm of Nosotti & Co, ‘looking-glass and frame manufactory,’ was founded by the Milan-born Charles Andrea Nosotti in 1822 and specialised in carved and gilded items. From their Oxford Street premises in London, the company gained a reputation for well-designed and high-quality carved items, expanding their repertoire to include furniture as well as mirrors and frames.
