Object Description
A pair of silver gilt Torah finials or Rimonim by Moses Salkind
London, 1925
Height 41cm, diameter 9cm
Moses Salkind & Co., based on Mulberry St. London, were leading makers of antique Judaica and Jewish silverware, and these pieces are typical of their early twentieth century work. Surmounted with domes and the Star of David, they feature silver gilt friezes and bands of roses and bells on an embossed silver structure, tall and conical in form.
Hallmarked and stamped for M.S, Moses Salkind, these exceptional Torah finials, also known as Rimonim, were made in London in 1925, and are crafted in silver and silver-gilt.
